Ryan Ludeman kicked off his Socks and Shoes drive Sept. 14 at St. Barbara’s Church in Black Diamond.

The drive is Ludeman’s Eagle Scout project and collection bins have been set up at five locations around southeast King County including at St. Barbara’s Church, Grocery Outlet and Columbia Bank in Maple Valley, the Hobart Store, and the Covington Library.

The drive will run until Sept. 29. Requested items include new socks and new or gently used shoes. Proceeds of the drive will go to Catholic Community Services, Vine Maple Place, and Redeeming Soles.
