A morning snow shower fell on the region Monday beginning at about 7 p.m.
An inch or more of snow fell, snarling traffic and causing problems for drivers, particularly in outlying areas.
The Tahoma and Kent school districts are on a regular schedule, but the Tahoma district Web site asked parents to watch for limited transportation routes when students are taken home. The district said any changes would be posted to the Web site.
The National Weather Service Web site calls for snow showers to continue today and ending tonight. The forecast for the rest of the week is partly cloudy with temperatures rising to about 50 degrees.
