More than 20 kindergartners-to-be met their teachers, Victoria Cichy and Sally Magnussen, Friday morning at Covington Elementary School’s kindergarten roundup.
The youngsters learned some basic skills they’ll need for school like how to raise their hands when they have a question, how to sit quietly with their hands in their laps as well as practicing their ABCs. They also got to work on a cut and paste project where they made a school bus, cut out and pasted wheels, then drew windows on the bus. Later they visited the library where Laura Lazarek read them a story and the day was wrapped up with a school bus ride then a snack of cookies and juice.
