On Saturday, Aug. 4 around 12:43 p.m., the Key Bank located at 23900 Block 225 Way Southeast in Maple Valley was robbed by a female.

As deputies responded to the bank, the 911 caller advised the female robber had jumped into the trunk of what was first described as a blue Camaro being driven by a male.

Deputies began looking for the vehicle and a short time later, one of the deputies saw a black Camaro get on eastbound state Route 18.

Soon after seeing the vehicle get onto Highway 18, the description of the vehicle was updated to a black Camaro.

Deputies began checking Highway 18 and area side roads.

A deputy checked the parking lot of Tiger Mountain Summit, mixed in with the people hiking and bike riding he spotted the occupied suspect vehicle.

A felony stop was conducted on the vehicle and both the male driver and female, now in the passenger seat, were taken into custody without incident.

Witnesses from the bank were able to positively identify the suspects.

The 27-year-old female suspect from Enumclaw was booked into the King County Jail.

The 30-year-old driver from Sumner was also booked into the King County Jail.

This same female has been linked to the following bank robberies — one in the city of Marysville on May 9, one in the city of Lynnwood on May 11, one in Fairwood, unincorporated King County, on June 9 and the latest from Maple Valley on Aug. 4.

“This was a great example of amazing police work by the King County Sheriff’s Office and all of the deputies and detectives working the day of the bank robbery. Without going the extra mile to look for these suspects, they could have continued their bank robbery spree,” the press release said.
