Drivers traveling on Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass next week should plan for an hour of added travel time due to nightly rock blasting closures.
The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews will close I-90 at 8 p.m. for about an hour Monday, July 6 through Thursday, July 9. During rock blasting closures eastbound drivers will be stopped at milepost 56 near Gold Creek and westbound drivers will be stopped at milepost 61 near Price Creek.
Drivers will also experience minor delays during the day due to rolling slowdowns and nighttime delays due to a single lane closure in both directions between mileposts 56 to 61 just east of the Snoqualmie Pass summit Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 10.
