Students and mentors of Robotics Team 2907, which is composed of Kentwood and Auburn Mountainview high school students are among 57 high-school teams competing in the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics competition sponsored by Microsoft March 26-28 at KeyArena in Seattle.
The 35 team members worked in groups on CAD (computer aided design), fabrication, mechanical, drivetrain, electronics and communications to build a 120 pound robot that will kick a soccer ball.
