Road rage turns into knife and gun confrontation | Covington-Maple Valley Police Report

After a road rage incident the parties involved confronted one another in the parking lot of Covington Teriyaki. One suspect pulled a knife on the other driver, who pulled out a gun to defend himself, which led to the first unidentified male deciding to leave the scene of the confrontation.

COVINGTON

Feb. 21

  • NEVER BRING A KNIFE: 27100 block of 167th Place Southeast. After a road rage incident the parties involved confronted one another in the parking lot of Covington Teriyaki. One suspect pulled a knife on the other driver, who pulled out a gun to defend himself, which led to the first unidentified male deciding to leave the scene of the confrontation.

Feb. 20

  • THREATS: 25900 block of 161st Court Southeast. A woman was receiving phone calls from the father of her children who was threatening to shoot her. She said she was afraid of the man but wasn’t sure if he actually had access to guns.

Feb. 19

  • ARSON: 26700 block of 191st Place Southeast. Someone attempted to light an unoccupied car on fire in the Timberlane neighborhood.
  • VANDALISM: 20700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. Officials from Cornerstone Church reported that someone had vandalized church property by spray painting a storage container and shed.

Feb. 17

  • GIMME YOUR STUFF: Southeast 267th Place and 198th Avenue Southeast. A student alleged that two unknown juveniles attempted to steal his laptop while he was walking home from school. The victim said he was punched by the suspects before they tried to steal his laptop.

Feb. 16

  • BAD DRIVER: Southeast 262nd Place and 180th Avenue Southeast. Shortly after midnight a drive was stopped by an officer for failing to signal 100 feet prior to making a turn. The driver had a misdemeanor warrant out for his arrest.
  • POSSESSION: 25800 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. A student was found in possession of marijuana in the parking lot at Kentwood High School.
  • SHOPLIFTER: 17000 block of Southeast 270th Place. A man suspected of shoplifting was accused of stealing $269 worth of merchandise from Kohl’s.

Feb. 15

  • BURGLARY: 18200 block of Southeast 260th Place. Someone crawled into an occupied home through an unlocked garage door, stole DVDs and electronics.

Feb. 14

  • ARRESTED: 25600 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. A woman was arrested at Kentwood High school on a felony warrant for harassment.

MAPLE VALLEY

Feb. 21

  • INTERNET THUG: 27000 block of 228th Place Southeast. A suspect made violent threats toward a police officer on social networking site Facebook. The suspect threatened a drive-by with an AK-47.

Feb. 17

  • LARCENY: 22800 block of Southeast 264th Court. The victim believes his son stole items from the house and storage unit then pawned them as well as fraudulently cashed checks.

Feb. 15

  • CREDIT CARD FRAUD: 23600 block of Southeast 267th Place. A man noticed a pair of fraudulent charges on his checking account online to the tune of $933. The bank told him someone had used a forged debit card to make the purchases.
