The Cedar River Council will meet Oct. 28 for a report on flood-control maintenance at Ricardi Beach and habitat work.

The meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Maplewood Greens Golf Course, 4050 Maple Valley Hwy.

Nancy Faegenburg, of King County’s rivers and floodplain management unit, will present information and answer citizens’ questions about Ricardi Reach. Jean White and Sarah Spilseth, of Water Resource Inventory Area 8, will discuss the Cedar Rapids floodplain restoration project’s impact on Chinook salmon and a habitat work schedule.
