Retiring Superintendent receives Green Apple award

Retiring Tahoma School District Superintendent Mike Maryanski received a Green Apple award from E3 Washington in recognition of his leadership in establishing and growing sustainability programs and education in the school district.

Retiring Tahoma School District Superintendent Mike Maryanski received a Green Apple award from E3 Washington in recognition of his leadership in establishing and growing sustainability programs and education in the school district.

Maryanski received the award at E3 Washington’s annual Summer Evening awards event, held at the McKinstry Innovation Center in Seattle. E3 Washington is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and supporting education around environmental sustainability. Its members include business, schools, tribes and government.

Maryanski, who retired as Tahoma superintendent on June 30, serves on the E3 Washington board of directors.
