- SOLICITATION: 30400 block of 234th Avenue Southeast. There were two reports of a young white female in her early 20’s going door to door attempting to raise money for school. She was let into one home where the homeowner turned her back for a moment and after she left, the homeowner noticed a checkbook that had been nearby, was missing. Another neighbor had given a donation and realized it was a scam and immediately stopped payment on the check. Anyone soliciting in the Black Diamond city limits is required to have a solicitor’s license that should be presented upon request.
July 31
- FAMILY FIGHT: 28900 block of 220th Place Southeast. Officers were called to a family disturbance. The father and son were arguing over issues and the son agreed to leave the residence.
July 30
- MARIJUANA: An officer observed a vehicle that was speeding and had expired tabs. The 22-year-old male driver admitted to driving with suspended license and no insurance. While talking to the driver and two occupants, the officer noticed a strong odor of marijuana came from the vehicle. They all admitted smoking marijuana and turned over the drug paraphernalia and marijuana to the officers. All were cited and released.
