On Thursday, August 1, Renton Technical College will host 2012 National Hot Rod Association Champion, Antron Brown.

This event is free to the public.

Brown will deliver three motivational speeches designed to encourage people to follow their hopes and dreams. The event times are at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the Harry Blencoe Auditorium. Opportunities for autographs and pictures with Brown will be available after each speech.

Brown’s visit to Renton Technical College is a precursor to his appearance at the NHRA’s “Mello Yello Drag Race” happening August 2-4 at Pacific Raceways outside Covington, where he’ll compete for the 2013 title.

Brown’s best career speed is 328.78 mph.

Renton Technical College is located at 3000 Northeast 3rd Street, Renton, WA 98056. The Harry Blencoe Auditorium is located in Building C, Room 101.
