Garbage, recycling and compost collection customers served by Recology CleanScapes in Maple Valley may experience a change in collection day during the upcoming holiday season. Recology CleanScapes operates regularly on all holidays except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
If a Recology CleanScapes’ customer’s regularly scheduled collection day falls on Thanksgiving Day, CleanScapes will collect the material on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. If the regularly scheduled collection day is Friday, the customer’s materials will be collected on Saturday.
Since Christmas and New Year’s Days fall on weekdays (Thursdays), all subsequent collections for the rest of those work weeks will be delayed one day, and Friday’s material will be collected on Saturday. Please visit www.recologycleanscapes.com or call (425) 413-1555 for more information about your service schedule.
This holiday season and throughout the year, customers are encouraged to place food scraps in their green bin. By putting unwanted leftovers into the correct bin, these organic materials can be composted and turned into a beneficial soil amendment, rather than ending up in the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill.
