The Black Diamond race for mayor has gotten out of hand when it comes to mudslinging. As long as I have known Rebecca Olness, she has been one of the hardest working people that I have ever come across. Her willingness to contribute to the community is amazing. She volunteers at the community center cooking, organizing events and many more commitments that go unrecognized. The Lake Sawyer Community Club benefits from her generosity as well. She volunteers her time for events, writes the community newsletter, and is constantly working to better the lake community. She is an active City Council member, which is a busy job in itself. There are so many other ways her time is given to the community, I can’t name them all. I do know that she will work extremely hard for our city. Regardless if people want Black Diamond to change or not, it is happening. I strongly believe that Rebecca Olness’ commitment to the community of Black Diamond is what this area needs. We can keep our great city and have a conscientious resident lead us through the new changes. Rebecca Olness will make a strong mayor of Black Diamond. Please vote this November.
