Winners of the 3rd annual Read-Flip-Win competition will be announced at a red carpet party at 2:00 p.m. Saturday Aug. 27 at the King County Library Service Center in Issaquah.
There, the 2011 winning videos will be screened.
The Read-Flip-Win contest encourages teens to share their enthusiasm for books by producing short videos based on titles they have read.
Teens have the option to produce a book review or shoot a blockbuster trailer for their books. There is no limit on the number of videos any participant can submit.
The entries are judged on creativity, production quality, and overall content.
This year’s submissions include trailers for S.E. Hinton’s “The Outsiders,” heartwarming portrayals of A.A. Milne’s “Winnie the Pooh,” and reviews of multiple books in the “Harry Potter” series by J.K. Rowling.
The Service Center is located at 960 Newport Way Northwest, Issaquah, 98027.
