A community rally in support of the Tahoma School District construction and remodeling bond measure will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 10 in the Multipurpose Room at Tahoma High.

All residents of the school district are invited. The rally is intended to be entertaining as well as informative. Maple Valley’s Steven Sogura will bring his popular Elvis Presley tribute act. There will be appearances by cheer squads and student musicians.

The event is being organized by the Voice of Tahoma Education Committee.

The $125 million bond measure will be on the April 26 ballot. It is designed to relieve crowded schools by building an additional elementary school, and enlarging Tahoma High School and Tahoma Junior High. It would also fund replacement of Lake Wilderness Elementary and pay for major maintenance.
