Dan Donohoe, spokesman for the King County Prosecutor’s Office, told The Reporter that Maple Valley Mayor Bill Allison’s case has officially been declined as of today because the case “was legally insufficient.”
At a City Council retreat Saturday, members of the Maple Valley City Council asked Mayor Bill Allison to temporarily step down over allegations of improper communication with at least one juvenile female during his role as a driving instructor.
When contacted by The Reporter about the prosecution’s decision, Allison said, ” My family and I are relieved to have all of this behind us and I look forward to focusing on the many challenges that face the city of Maple Valley.”
Allison added: “It’s still important for the driving school to learn from this lesson as I have. At my direction, we have installed security cameras in the vehicles to ensure students have the safest possible learning experience.”
