  • FIRE: The 20400 block of Southeast 245th Place. A fire started by a portable heater caused an estimated $100,000 in damages to a residence with a detached garage. Upon arrival firefighters encountered heavy smoke and flames where the garage door had collapsed from the heat. Crews quickly applied water and extinguished the fire.
