ACCIDENT: 18800 block of SE Wax Road. At 8:55 a.m. in the 18800 block of SE Wax Road the Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety and King County paramedics were dispatched to a single vehicle accident. Upon arrival firefighters found a pickup had collided with and sheared off a power pole. There was extensive front end damage to the truck. It was equipped with airbags however they did not deploy. The male driver was treated at the scene and transported by paramedics to a local trauma center. Puget Sound Energy crews arrived to replace the pole.
