Opening on Covington City Council after Wayne Snoey’s resignation

Snoey served the Covington community for more than 12 years

The Covington City Council needs to fill a vacant position after councilman Wayne Snoey announced his resignation at the Nov. 25 council meeting.

Snoey served the Covington community for more than 12 years. He first served on the city council from January 2002 through March 2004 and again from October 2007 through December 2014.

Covington residents can apply for the vacant position by sending a letter of interest to the city council by Jan. 2. Letters should be sent or dropped off to Covington City Hall, Attn: Sharon Scott – City Clerk, 16720 SE 271st St., No. 100, Covington, WA 98042.

The council is also encouraging residents to submit questions that could be considered for asking at interviews for the position. Question ideas can be sent to the same address as the letter of interest or to citycouncil@covingtonwa.gov.
