Officers respond to a hit and run | Police Blotter

HIT AND RUN

• On June 3 officers responded to reports of a hit and run. According to the police report, the driver of the vehicle was gone when they arrived on scene. The responding officer stated the vehicle was reported stolen roughly 45 minutes after they responded to the hit and run.

LARCENY

• On June 7 a male subject was arrested for shoplifting two bottles of alcohol from Safeway. The police report stated the subject was charged with third degree theft and minor in possession.

• On June 7 officers responded to Walmart regarding a female subject in custody for shoplifting. The report stated the subject gave a false name when questioned.

• On June 7 it was reported that a person who had been drinking reportedly shoplifted beer from Safeway. The report stated the person was arrested nearby.

• On June 7 officers were called to Walmart regarding a female subject who had reportedly shoplifted Crest teeth whiting strips and returned them for cash. The police report stated she was arrested for theft and trespassing.

• On June 8 the reporting party told officers that sometime over night an unknown suspect had stolen packages from his front door step.

ASSAULT

• On June 7 officers were contacted regarding reports that someone had approached the victim and hit them several times in the chest and once in the face. The police report stated the assault was unprovoked.

SUSPICIOUS

• On June 7 it was reported to officers that a reportedly aggressive door to door salesman was targeted a couple.

VEHICLE PROWLER

• On June 8 it was reported that windows on three vehicles were broken while parked outside the Tahoma Athletic Club by an unknown suspect.

FORGERY

• On June 8 officers were contacted regarding reports that an unknown suspect had reportedly opened credit cards using the victim’s name.
