Now that it’s officially spring, several projects are starting to hit the road and get busy. You can expect nightly closures on the SR 18/I-5 interchange for striping and barrier work. The work is part of the I-5 –SR 18 to South 288th Street Seismic Retrofit project which will strengthen the columns and crossbeams that support bridge sections to better withstand an earthquake. No work will take place on the mainline of I-5, but it does mean there will be some on- and off-ramp closures. For more information check out our project page, and details of upcoming closures can be found on the King County construction update page.
