The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council will hold its monthly meeting from 7-9 p.m. on Jan. 6 at the Maple Valley Fire Station located at the southeast corner of intersection of SE 231st Street and state Route 169.
The featured topic will be King County Metro Transit funding and proposed cuts to bus service. Other topics will include Covington’s proposed 1,500-unit Master-Planned Developments and King County Department of Transportation proposals to address funding shortfalls.
Members of the public are invited to attend and can address the Area Council on any local issue during an comment period at the start of each meeting.
The area council is locally elected and represents all unincorporated area residents living in the Tahoma School District. It advocates issues of local importance to King County and local government.
