The Neely Mansion is hosting a Victorian Farmhouse Christmas Dec. 7 and 8.
Tour the historic Victorian Classic Revival farmhouse, decorated for the holidays, with docents in period dress and enjoy light refreshments and explore the gift shop while enjoying Christmas carols performed by the Cascade Foothills Chorale.
Visit the newly-decorated Japanese Room and see recently added ethnic artifacts, reflecting the culture and heritage of the immigrant tenant farmers who rented the property for several decades through the 1970s.
Proceeds go toward operating expenses and the continuing restoration of Neely Mansion, a county, state and national landmark, built by one of Washington Territory’s earliest and most influential pioneer families. The house and grounds, which include a 1930 Japanese bathhouse, reflect the Neely Family legacy and that of the several diverse families who lived there.
Tours will be held at 12:30 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 7, and at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 8.
The cost is $15 per person. Advance reservations are required. To register visit www.neelymansion.org or call 253-850-2777.
