The city of Maple Valley had Proposition No. 1, a bond for park and recreation facility improvements, on the February 2017 special election. Ballots were due Tuesday, Feb. 14.
So far, 34.56 percent of the ballots have been counted, accounding to the King County Elections website.
Out of those ballots counted, 51.97 percent have voted yes and 48.03 percent are no.
This measure needs 60 percent to pass.
If this bond passes, it will allow the city of Maple Valley the opportunity to construct, improve and develop facilities at Summit Park and at Lake Wilderness Elementary School, according to the description of the proposition.
An off-leash dog park, playground, skate park and trails at the Summit Park would be part of the work that would take place. Also, a multi-purpose turf field with restrooms would be built.
