Students at Glacier Park Elementary had the opportunity to watch strongman Grant Higa, a Maple Valley resident, lift a log and an 189 pound Atlas ball during an assembly Friday, Jan. 27.

Higa competes in strongman competitions, his first one the Beauty and the Beast World Strongman Challenge, in 1998.

The demonstration was a part of a habits of mind assembly.
