Yoga classes

Now is the time to give yoga a try. Students of all ages, youth to adults, who are new to yoga may choose from a variety of morning and evening classes offered by the Parks and Recreation at the Lake Wilderness Lodge.

Gentle yoga offers a class environment where poses are practiced with a slower pace.

Yoga Fundamentals emphasizes the fundamental actions required for safety and alignment in poses to gain an understanding of how to use the body intelligently.

Students receive numerous benefits including physically increase circulation and organ functioning; psychologically build confidence, will power, stamina and aid in recuperation of the body, mind and spirit.

For students who have yoga experience, continuing and intermediate classes are also offered.

Power Yoga is for students who are up for a more physical challenge to improve overall fitness where basic yoga poses are taught in flowing sequences.

Hatha Yoga evolved over 5,000 years to exercise every muscle, organ and gland to reduce fatigue, soothe the nerves and to train and discipline the mind.  Yoga can give clarity to change habits that have created blocks in the body and mind.
