Editor’s note: this article was updated with a fourth death that was reported due to weather conditions.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office as of Feb. 12 confirmed three deaths caused by hypothermia during the recent weather conditions including a 53 year old from Maple Valley.

Carl Soderberg, 53, died Feb. 9.

According to the examiner’s office, his death was caused by hypothermia due to environmental exposure and was considered an accident.

The two other reported deaths include Derek Johnson, 59, who died Feb. 7 in Seattle. He was presumed to be homeless.

The cause of his death was also hypothermia due to environmental exposure and was considered an accident.

The third reported death due to weather conditions was Stanley Little, 84, who died Feb. 7 in Fall City.

His cause of death was the same — hypothermia due to environmental exposure and was considered an accident.

Additional information on these cases were not available to the public at this time.

As of the evening of Feb. 12, another weather related death was reported by the King County Medicial Examiner’s Office.

Barbara Arvidson, 74, died Feb. 10 in Enumclaw.

Her death was also hypothermia due to environmental exposure and was considered an accident.
