July 19
- BURNING CAR: 21900 block of Southeast Wax Road. There was a car fire in front of an apartment. Upon arrival firefighters found a fully involved car fire. A relative of the vehicle owner was unable to extinguish the fire using four portable fire extinguishers. The firefighters eventually extinguished the fire. The mini-van was completely destroyed and an adjacent vehicle was damaged from the heat. The loss is estimated at $35,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
- BATTING RAM: 26700 block of Southeast Summit-Landsburg Road. A truck collided with a tree, which snapped-off and landed on top of the truck. The male driver was treated at the scene by paramedics and air-lifted to a local trauma center.
- FIRE: 21900 block of Southeast Wax Road. A small fire was reported on a porch. By the time firefighters arrived, the fire had had already been extinguished. Using a thermal imagining camera, they ensured there was no extension of the fire into the structure. The cause of the fire was found to be caused by improperly discarded smoking materials.
July 24
- ACCIDENT: 19200 block of 196 Avenue Southeast. A male driver was trapped inside the cab when his truck struck a tree. Firefighters extricated the patient and immediately started CPR. Unfortunately, the resuscitation effort was unsuccessful and the patient died at the scene.
