• MVFLS responded to two residences this past week because of cooking fires.  Fortunately, both fires were quickly extinguished resulting in minimal damage and no injuries. Cooking, primarily unattended cooking,is the leading cause of residential structure fires. Be careful cooking and if you leave the kitchen, turn the burner off.
