Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety invites the community to participate in the statewide earthquake drill from 9:45 to 10 a.m. April 21. The fire department encourage everyone to increase their knowledge and awareness of proper safety measures to follow before, during and after a disaster.
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a disaster preparedness course designed to create awareness, teach critical skills for assessing a disaster situation like earthquakes and ensure participants gain the confidence they need to react productively and responsibly in a disaster. There are no prerequisites.
The cost of the class is $35 due prior to the start of class.
