VANDALISM: 26500 block of Timberlane Road. Someone placed an object in the roadway that caused a flat tire on a car then threw something at the vehicle, possibly eggs.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Southeast 260th Street and 164th Avenue Southeast. A man assaulted his wife by slapping her face and pushing her.

THEFT: 18800 block of Southeast 269th Street. A stereo was stolen from a man’s unlocked car.

SCAMMED: 27100 block of 167th Place Southeast. A patron attempted to cash fraudulent money orders at Dollarwise not knowing they were fake.
Aug. 13
20800 block of Southeast 271st Street. Items were stolen from a homeowner’s roadside mailbox. The homeowner later discovered fraudulent activity on their bank account in the amount of $450.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: 25800 block of 185th Place Southeast. Someone attempted to break into a locked home with a pry tool.
Aug. 10
MAIL THEFT: 25800 block 187th Avenue Southeast. After returning from a week’s vacation a woman realized mail she had been expecting had not arrived. The Post Office confirmed a vacation hold had not been placed on her mail and Netflix confirmed it had sent her the DVDs she was expecting.
SMOOTH TALKER: 17400 block of Southeast 270th Place. A customer talked a Walmart cashier into giving him $100 in store credit during a cash purchase transaction.
THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY: 19400 block of Southeast 264th Street. A car prowler caught in the act by the victim fled on foot after the owner of the car asked the thief what he was doing. The car prowler got away with the victim’s stereo.

JUST THE ENGINE: 15400 block of Southeast 256th Street. Someone used bolt cutters to remove a motor from a boat parked in a field.

Aug. 17
26000 block of 220th Avenue Southeast. A resident called to reporter a suspicious man came to the door claiming he was selling magazine subscriptions for troops overseas, but was unable to produce any kind of documentation to verify this claim.
Aug. 15
POSSESSION: 21800 block of Southeast Wax Road. A suspect was contacted for suspicious behavior and was found in possession of methamphetamines.
Aug. 14
CAUGHT RED HANDED: 23100 block of 224th Place Southeast. A suspect was discovered inside a car trying to start the engine in an effort to steal the vehicle.
Aug. 12
DRUNK IN PUBLIC: 21700 block of Dorre Don Way. A woman was found lying in the grass, drunk, disoriented and unable to care for herself. She was transported by Maple Valley Fire to Valley Medical Center for treatment.
THEFT: 21800 block of Southeast Wax Road. Someone stole an unlocked off-road motorcycle from Maple Crossing Apartments.
BIG STASH: 23700 block of Witte Road Southeast. Large amounts of narcotics and cash were found inside a vehicle located in the Bank of America parking lot.

DON’T MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME: 18200 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A woman’s cell phone was stolen while she was hosting a party at her home and she suspects one of her guests took it.
