THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY: Southeast 272nd Street and 189th Avenue Southeast. After being pulled over for a traffic violation a driver pulled away from the office, then ditched the car two blocks away and fled on foot. The suspect was not caught.
Aug. 1
DON’T BOTHER ME: 176000 block of Southeast 260th Place. A construction worker walked onto the property a female homeowner and harassed her.
July 31
THEFT: 16200 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A man’s boat was broken into sometime in the past month while it was parked at a mini storage. Suspects took items from the boat and damaged it in the process.
UNDER THE RADAR: 26000 block of 189th Avenue Southeast. Someone broke into a car in an attempt to steal the radar detector. The thief cut the device’s cord, but did not remove it from its window mount. The rock used to smash the car window was found on a seat in the car.
SUSPICIOUS COMMENTS: 17300 block of Southeast 270th Place. A former employee of a restaurant who had been terminated from his job made unusual comments about “shooting up” the business.
July 28
BEER RUN: 17000 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A trio of boys stole beer from Safeway. The store manager saw the boys get into a SUV driven by a female.
NEED MORE DOWNFORCE: 16200 block of Southeast 272nd Street. Someone removed the rear spoiler and Acura emblem from a car for sale on the lot of Car Club of Covington.

FAKE PRESCRIPTION: 22100 block of Southeast 237th Street. A customer at Bartell’s Drugs tried to get a forged prescription filled.
July 31
IT WAS JUST HERE: Southeast 265th Way and 217th Avenue Southeast. A woman reported that her son’s phone was stolen while he was at Pipe Lake. He had left it in an extra pair of shorts lying on the beach. When he returned to his belongings, the phone was gone.
ASSAULT: 22900 block of Southeast 280th Place. A 16-year-old girl punched and shoved her mother as well as kicked holes in the walls.
July 29
MAIL THEFT: 25000 block of 238th Avenue Southeast. Someone opened a mailbox and stole items from within it without damaging the mail box.
July 28
UNPLEASANT DISCOVERY: 21600 block of Southeast 265th Way. While walking his dog near his home in Cherokee Bay around 11 p.m. a man discovered his pet rabbit dead in the bed of his pick up. It was unclear how the rabbit died.
