The city of Maple Valley is partnering with Cedar Grove Compost to use compostable cups and napkins at the annual Lights at the Lodge event in order to reduce the environmental impact.

Food waste bins will be placed throughout the lodge and arboretum to collect the waste from the event.

Because everything at the event will be compostable, no sorting will be necessary.
