Black Diamond Police Report Nov. 22-27

- GRAND THEFT AUTO: Kummer Bridge. An abandoned off-road vehicle was found in the middle of the bridge. Officers examined the vehicle and noticed it had been spray painted. A records check of the identification number showed the off-road vehicle was stolen out of Auburn. The owners confirmed it had been stolen and came to take custody of it.
- CAST AWAY: Lake Sawyer. There was an unoccupied small boat found floating on the lake. Police utilized the boat’s identification number to locate the owner. The owner said the boat must have become detached from his dock and no one was using it. Upon returning the boat to the owner he noticed several items were stolen from it. The owner valued the loss at approximately $800.

- HIT AND RUN: 31500 block of 3rd Avenue. A man was arrested for hit and run after fleeing a parking lot after he backed into a parked vehicle. Police were able to use the information ascertained from witnesses to locate the vehicle involved at a nearby residence, where they found the damage to the vehicle was consistent with the damage on the parked vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was located and placed under arrest for hit & run. The driver also had a suspended license and no insurance.
