Man throws remote control and hits woman in head | Black Diamond Police Blotter

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: 28900 block of 218th Avenue Southeast. Officers were called to a residence for a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers witnessed a man throw a remote control and hit a woman in the head. The officers entered the residence and upon further investigation, it was determined other assaults were also made to the woman. The male was arrested for assault fourth degree domestic violence and transported to Buckley jail.

June 5

MARIJUANA: A routine check of a vehicle license showed the 25-year-old male was driving with a suspended license. When the officer stopped the car and approached, the officer could smell of burnt marijuana. The driver said he didn’t have any marijuana or paraphernalia. The passenger, a 34-year-old male, stated he had smoked marijuana in the vehicle earlier and saw the officer and tossed the marijuana out the window. The officer’s K9 found his glass pipe and marijuana under the front dash of the passenger side of the vehicle. The passenger admitted the pipe and marijuana was his. The driver was cited for driving with a suspended license and no vehicle insurance and the passenger was cited for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
