Kent fire investigators arrested a man Sunday in Bellevue in connection with early morning porch fire that occurred Jan. 1
The Kent Fire Department responded to the call at 5:46 a.m. in the 23700 block of 98th Avenue South.
The fire was the result of fireworks and possibly a liquid accelerant that ignited on the porch of the home following a dispute between the woman resident and the man.
The man was arrested in Bellevue without incident Sunday. Damage was limited to the porch and no one was injured.
The man is currently in the Kent jail awaiting a hearing where he will be charged with arson in the first degree.
