Oct. 26

  • BROKE: 29200 block of 216th Ave Southeast. An officer was dispatched to a business in reference a shoplifter being detained by store employees. Upon arrival the officer contacted the business owner who advised he observed a juvenile male subject put two items of merchandise in his pockets, than attempt to leave the store. The officer spoke with the juvenile male and he advised he did not have any money to pay for the items because he was “broke.” The juvenile’s parents were contacted and he was released to them. A criminal trespass order was also served on the juvenile male, prohibiting entry into the store for a year. The case was forwarded to the King County Juvenile Division for review.

Oct. 29

  • JUST A LITTLE WHITE LIE(S): 31100 block of 3rd Avenue. An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The officer stopped the vehicle and the male driver advised he did not have his driver’s license on him, but verbally provided his name, date of birth and height/weight. The male driver appeared significantly older than the date of birth he provided. The officer conducted a records check and he also noticed a significant discrepancy in the height provided and what was on the driver’s license. The officer re-contacted the subject and explained the discrepancies he noted from the information he supplied. The male driver admitted he lied to the officer and at this time because his license was suspended. The male driver was placed under arrest and booked into Buckley Jail for suspended license and making a false statement to a public servant.

Nov. 2

  • TIL DEATH DO YOU PART: 31100 block of 3rd Avenue. An officer was dispatched to a domestic dispute at a residence. Upon arrival the officer made contact with the male caller who advised he had been in an argument with his ex-wife. The male caller advised no threats were made and it wasn’t physical, but he felt he should call because he wants a restraining order. The male subject advised he currently lives with his ex-wife and ex-mother-in-law and is trying to obtain financial assistance to move out. The officer confirmed with the ex-mother-in-law that the disturbance was only verbal. The male caller was provided domestic violence resource information at the scene.
