Man arrested for stealing his aunt’s car | Police Blotter

FORGERY

• On June 8 officers were called to the Starbucks in Safeway to reports of a fake $50 bill being used.

VEHICLE RECOVERY

• On June 9 officers arrested a male subject for taking his aunt’s vehicle without permission. According to the police report the vehicle was recovered.

VANDALISM

• On June 10 officers were contacted regarding a vehicle that had been damaged while parked outside the emergency room in Covington. The police report stated an unknown sharp object caused the damage.

• On June 14 officers responded to reports that BB gun pellets had broken through the reporting party’s window. The police report stated that no one was injured.

BURGLARY

• On June 10 it was reported that unknown suspects entered the victim’s garage using an unlocked door. The report stated miscellaneous tools were taken along with a handgun.

• On June 10 officers were contacted regarding theft from the Maple Valley Food Bank.

• On June 12 officers responded to Sherwin Williams to reports that an unknown suspect had broken the glass side door.

LARCENY

• On June 8 officers responded to a gas station where it was reported two young males had stolen cigarettes.

• On June 11 it was reported the victim’s purse was stolen from a vehicle parked at a trailhead.

• On June 13 officers were contacted because the reporting party watched as a juvenile male ran away from a neighbor’s house. The police report stated items were taken from a vehicle without permission.

• On June 15 it was reported to officers that a suspect had broken the victim’s window and stole her purse from inside while she was picking her mail up at the Covington Post Office.

• On June 17 it was reported that a subject attempted to steal $1,600 worth of items from Walgreens. The police report stated the items were left in the store while the subject attempted to flee.

AUTO THEFT

• On June 13 it was reported to officers the victim’s vehicle had been stolen out of her driveway. The police report stated the vehicle was stolen sometime between 2 and 10 a.m.

ROBBERY

• On June 10 it was reported that a suspect had shoplifted items from Walmart. The police report stated while the suspect was confronted by a manager, they pulled a knife.

TRESPASS

• On June 10 four suspects were trespassed from the Maple Valley Safeway after they had reportedly shoplifted items from the store. The police report stated the items were returned to the store.

• On June 13 officers trespassed a subject from Fred Meyer after they refused to exit the bathroom.

CIVIL PROBLEM

• On June 11 officers were contacted regarding reports that previous home owners returned to their former residence to pick up some items. It was reported that the previous home owners unlawfully entered the home.

DRIVING WITH SUSPENDED LICENSE

• On June 13 officers pulled over a vehicle after the driver committed a lane violation. Upon contact with the driver, the report stated they were driving with a suspended license and had a warrant out of Bellevue.

OBSTRUCTING AN OFFICER

• On June 15 officers contacted a male subject who was sleeping in his car in the Maple Valley Safeway’s parking lot. The police report stated the subject gave a false name because he was afraid he may have a warrant.

PERSON WITH A WEAPON

• On June 16 while officers were making contact regarding a family disturbance, it was reported that one of the subjects was armed with knives and a brass knuckle knife.

HIT AND RUN

• On June 16 it was reported a driver fled the scene of a hit and run. The police report stated the driver was driving with a suspended license and did not have their interlock device in place. The driver was later booked into the Kent Jail. There were no injuries reported following the accident.

ASSAULT

• On June 17 it was reported that the driver of a stolen vehicle had hit a patrol vehicle. The police report stated the male subject was later arrested after he dumped the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot.
