Local students receive scholarships from Eastern

The following students each received a $3,000 presidential scholarship to Eastern Washington University for the 2015-16 Academic Year

The following students each received a $3,000 presidential scholarship to Eastern Washington University for the 2015-16 Academic Year. To qualify, students must have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.8 or higher or a 1250+ SAT/28+ ACT.

Taylor Bennett of Tahoma High School will graduate this spring and attend EWU in the fall. At Tahoma, he participated in Drama Club, as well as church choir, seminary class and youth group. He has also earned a black belt in Taekwondo. His parents Michael and Jennifer reside in Maple Valley.

Maria Constantine of Kentwood High School will graduate in June, where she has been involved in soccer for four years, as well as the National Honor Society. Her parents Joseph and Michelle live in Covington.
