Order barefoot native plants online for pick up on March 5. Quantities are limited and some species may sell out, so place your orders now!
Select from more than 50 species of native trees, shrubs and ground-cover plants for wildlife habitat, hedgerows, stream enhancement, and home landscapes. New species in this year’s sale include Bleeding Heart, Camas, Maidenhair Fern, Red Columbine, and Piggyback Plant. they also have Rain Barrels for water conservation.
They ordered nearly 50,000 native plants for this year’s sale and some species are running out. They will have an additional 10,000 plants available for walk-up sales on Saturday, March 5th.
How to order: Order and pay for your plants by credit card online at www.kingcd.org. Minimum order $30. All orders must be pre-paid. Purchase orders are acceptable for public agencies, businesses and nonprofit organizations.
Pick-up date: March 5, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Pick-up location:King Conservation District, 1107 SW Grady Way, Renton, WA 98057. (No plant delivery available).

Native Plant Community Fair
When you come to pick up your plants on Saturday, March 5th, plan to stay a while to visit with representatives from more than a dozen organizations providing a wide array of information on ways to protect and enhance our natural environment. Participants in this year’s Native Plant Community Fair include the Washington Native Plant Society, Weed Warriors, Gatherer to Gardener, Seattle Tilth Garden Hotline, King County Noxious Weed Control Program, Save Habitat & Diversity of Wetlands (SHADOW), City Fruit, Scarecrow’s Pride, Stone Soup, Garden Cycles, The Little Red Hen Project, Mason Bee Farmer, Nature4All, Go Native Plant Nursery, and Tadpole Haven Native Plants.
