Kentwood High Principal Doug Hostetter had much to brag about Saturday afternoon at ShoWare Center in Kent during the graduation ceremony of the class of 2012, the 30th commencement exercises in the school’s history.
With three students graduating with 4.0 cumulative GPAs in a class of 398, as well as many Conquerors who earned college credits through Advanced Placement or University of Washington in the High School courses, academics were one thing to be proud of.
Add to that the success of clubs, musicians, actors and athletics which brought home seven league titles along with a 4A state crown in baseball this year, the class of 2012 leaves a legacy at Kentwood.
