Kent Valley Early Learning Center will be closed and all school activities will be canceled on Friday, March 20, 2015 due to an increase in student absences attributed to flu-like symptoms. The school will be thoroughly deep cleaned and will reopen on Monday, March 23.

This closure is a precautionary measure to help ensure the health and safety of our students. Fewer than 30 students have exhibited symptoms consistent with a viral gastrointestinal infection. While seldom serious, infections can make a person contagious for a few days after feeling better, and students should stay home from school for at least 24, preferably 48 hours, after symptoms have ended.
