Kent police officers and the Kent Fire Department responded to a shooting and apparent attempted suicide at 2:30 p.m. today at Kent Body and Paint located at 831 5th Av. S., Kent.

When officers arrived at the scene they found a man with a gunshot injury according to a police department press release. The man’s injuries are life threatening according to the police department.

Kent police found another man with a gunshot injury a block away.

A preliminary investigation revealed there was a dispute between two employees of the business. One employee was shot in the arm and abdomen and his injuries are serious.

According to the release, the other employee apparently shot himself in the head and his injuries are life threatening.

Both suspects were treated at the scene by the Kent Fire Department emergency medical personnel.

No other employees were injured or involved.

The police reported there are no other suspects and the investigation continues by Kent detectives.
