All subjects in the police blotter are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

BURGLARY

• On Sept. 9 officers responded to reports that an unknown suspect forced their way into the victim’s home. According to the police report, the suspect stole high value items including five firearms.

• On Sept. 9 it was reported that a mobile home was broken into. It was reported that tools and money were taken from inside.

TRAFFIC COMPLAINT

• On Sept. 10 it was reported that Kentwood High School students are speeding through neighborhoods when school gets out. The police report stated the vehicles are going 50 miles per hour in a 25 mph zone.

LARCENY

• On Sept. 10 officers spoke with the victim outside Kohl’s after it was reported that unknown subjects stole his motorcycle helmet and a backpack off his bike.

• On Sept. 11 officers responded to reports that a neighbor took items from the victim’s car and left a note because their dog was barking. According to the police report, the neighbor gave back the items.

TRESPASS

• On Sept. 11 officers responded to a verbal altercation between the clerk and a customer at a 76 gas station. The customer was trespassed from the station.

VANDALISM

• On Sept. 9 officers responded to reports that the victim claims her car was vandalized while she was shopping at Walmart.

• On Sept. 12 it was reported that the victim suspects their neighbor put screws into all four of his vehicle’s tires.

• On Sept. 13 officers responded to reports of a large object being thrown off an overpass. The object struck a vehicle below.

ASSAULT

• On Sept. 11 officers responded to reports that a husband slapped his wife following an argument about smoking marijuana. The husband was arrested for fourth degree assault.

ABANDONED VEHICLE

• On Sept. 14 it was reported that a vehicle was left in the middle of the roadway with the engine running. The police report stated the vehicle may be a possible unreported stolen vehicle.
