The Maple Valley Fire and Life Safety board of commissioners will hold a special meeting at 5 p.m., May 28 at Station 81, 22225 SE 231 St in Maple Valley.

The purpose of the meeting will be to interview commissioner candidates. The commissioners will then go into executive session to evaluate the qualifications of a candidate for appointment to elective office.

Other agenda items include financial reports and a public comment period.
