Home burglarized while owners on vacation|Police Blotter

BURGLARY

• On Aug. 10 officers responded to reports of a home being burglarized while the homeowners were on vacation.

• On Aug. 14 a residential burglary was reported. The police report stated entry was made using the front door. The report also stated three firearms and a laptop were taken.

TRESPASS

• On Aug. 11 officers responded to the Maple Valley Fred Meyer to reports of management wanting a former employee trespassed. The police report stated the former employee had quit his job following a verbal altercation.

• On Aug. 13 it was reported the subject walked into a closed KFC using the unlocked front doors. The police report stated the subject was high. The report added, the subject was taken home and KFC did not want to press charges.

• On Aug. 15 a subject who was panhandling outside a grocery store was trespassed after it was reported they had been disturbing customers.

• On Aug. 18 a subject who had been previously trespassed from Costco, reportedly stole a $1,699 laptop. The police report stated the subject was chased by a loss prevention employee and citizens before being caught by police. The report stated they were booked into SCORE for trespassing.

JUVENILE DISTURBANCE

• On Aug. 11 it was reported to officers two juveniles were exchanging hostile messages via Instagram. The police report stated this was for informational purposes only.

VANDALISM

• On Aug. 11 an unknown suspect reportedly threw a rock through the victim’s sliding glass door causing the glass to shatter. The police report stated there was no known reason as to why this happened.

• On Aug. 14 crude drawings and words were found drawn under the bridge for the Cedar River Trail.

• On Aug. 14 officers were called to the Maple Valley Fred Meyer to reports the victim’s tires had been cut while they were shopping. The police report stated the incident may have been related to a landlord/tenant issue.
