Sgt. B.J. Myers, spokesman with the King County Sheriff’s Office confirmed a report that a grenade was left at the Goodwill in Maple Valley.

A Maple Valley police officer and a King County Sheriff’s Office bomb unit detective responded to the incident.

Myers wrote in an email, “The detective determined it was a real grenade but it was empty of explosives. It was taken back to the precinct for later disposal.”
