The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council will hold its monthly meeting  from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday at the Maple Valley Fire Station.

This month’s featured speaker will be Kevin Brown, Director of King County Parks and Recreation, who will be updating our communities on the August Parks Levy. Also, we will have a presentation from Tahoma High School students who have been analyzing our recently completed Citizens’ Survey.

The Area Council is locally elected and represents all unincorporated area residents living in the Tahoma School District. It advocates issues of local importance to King County, our local government. King County and State officials often are invited to address the Area Council and local residents.
