The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council will hold its monthly meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9 at the Maple Valley Fire Station, located at the northeast corner of intersection of SE 231st and state Route 169.
Members of the public are invited to attend and can address the Area Council on any local issue during an open comment period at the start of each meeting.
Rich Tokarzewski will speak on King County’s Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan. Erika Nuerenberg will speak on public health and Seattle/King County’s effort to enroll 180,000 newly eligible King County residents in Medicaid and the Health Benefit Exchange.
Your Area Council is locally elected and represents all unincorporated area residents living in the Tahoma School District. It advocates issues of local importance to King County, our local government. King County and State officials often are invited to address the Area Council and local residents.
