The Area Council discussed the fire district levy, the Cedar River Council and the citizen’s survey and ballot at it’s April 1 meeting.

At the meeting the Area Council reaffirmed its support of the April 23 levy to benefit District 43.

Area Council member Beverly Tonda was voted to continue to represent the council on the Cedar River Council, a group that discusses and advocates issues pertaining to the health of the Cedar River.

The Area Council would like to thank the many citizens who submitted their Bi-Annual Area Council Citizens’ Survey and Ballot. This has been a great opportunity to receive information on local matters of importance for subsequent discussion with our local government, King County. Also, thank you for voting for your Area Council representatives. Results are being tallied and soon will be available on our website.

The next Area Council meeting will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 6 at the Fire Station at 231st Street & state Route 169.
